Neroli is one of the best oils for shock and a very effective oil for stress. However it is also rather expensive. The good news is that you don't need to have to add very much to have a great therapeutic effect so you may want to consider this 5% dilution in Jojoba oil. The diluted version is much less 'heady'. It has a very sweet floral yet citrussy aroma. I use it all the time.

Analgesic: Neroli has pain-relieving effects that can be related to several of its main components: linalool, limonene and linalyl acetate
Anti-inflammatory: The anti-inflammatory effects of Neroli oil can be attributed to the presence of linalool, limonene, linalyl acetate and small amounts of farnesol
Antibacterial: Linalool has strong activity against some bacteria (and fungi), and this is enhanced in the presence of d-limonene and α-terpineol, amongst others (Pattnaik et al. 1997).
Antidepressant: Neroli is well regarded for its uplifting effect. It has been shown that inhalation of one of its components, d-limonene, has anxiety-relieving actions (Lima et al. 2012). See also CNS sedative.
Antispasmodic: Many people find that Neroli is so calming that muscle spasms are relieved.

Deodorant: The antibacterial activity, coupled with Neroli's scent, combine to create deodorant effects.
Skin healing: Neroli has several qualities that support the skin, especially its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory actions.
