THERAPEUTIC PROPERTIES

• Analgesic: Neroli has pain-relieving effects that can be related to several of its main components: linalool, limonene and linalyl acetate 

  Anti-inflammatory: The anti-inflammatory effects of Neroli oil can be attributed to the presence of linalool, limonene, linalyl acetate and small amounts of farnesol

  Antibacterial: Linalool has strong activity against some bacteria (and fungi), and this is enhanced in the presence of d-limonene and α-terpineol, amongst others (Pattnaik et al. 1997).

  Antidepressant: Neroli is well regarded for its uplifting effect. It has been shown that inhalation of one of its components, d-limonene, has anxiety-relieving actions (Lima et al. 2012). See also CNS sedative.

  Antispasmodic: Many people find that Neroli is so calming that muscle spasms are relieved.

  CNS sedative: 

  Deodorant: The antibacterial activity, coupled with Neroli's scent, combine to create deodorant effects.

  Skin healing: Neroli has several qualities that support the skin, especially its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory actions.

  Tonic: Neroli’s effects on the psyche, coupled with its pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory actions, can help restore vitality.

METHOD OF EXTRACTION:  Steam distilled from fragrant white flowers of the bitter orange tree.

BLENDS WELL WITH: Benzoin, Bergamot, Geranium, Jasmine, Lavender, Lemon, Orange, Palmarosa, Petitigrain, Rose, Rosemary, Sandalwood and Ylang Ylang.
